Time Plan...

Well as everyone knows my plan was to release btb on sept 19.th. this plan fails.
Since the battle-formula plus other stuff totally messed the schedule up I was wondering which date would be a good opening date so this question is mainly directed at Johan: How long will we need?
I want to waste my precous money and invest it into some massive marketing for one or two weeks right before the opening day therefore a schedule would be quite usefull to see how well we are progressing.

So, what needs to be finished?

-Battle System
*Battle Formula
*Use of attacks/items in a battle
*MPvP -> CFH so crew members can join
*AI's
*Item/Ship influence on the battles (stat gain etc)
*Battle Gains
-PM System
-Shops
*Item Shop
*Money Shop (-> real money)
*Items, Ships
-Doctor
*get hospitalized; pay to get unhospitalized
-Spars
-> I want our spars to be different than tnr's. To spar all users involved (MPVP spars?) have to put some item, or money into a "box" and the winner gets all items/the whole gold. Spars should be done in some special "arena" so you can't get attacked while you're there and the spar won't start till everyone involved accepted the amount the other one put in. this way no1 can get scammed.

*Upgrade Ship
*View Crew
*Add/Kick ppl from your crew (if Captain)
*see Crew points (->upgrade, repair ship)
-> Crew points should be gained through PvP and special AI battles and maybe be buyable with real money

-Quests (aren't really that much of coding-work since all you need is loads of text and a few confirmation-buttons Ai's....)
-Pretty Profile Page
-Ranks

Like i said i can't really give you a date
But Once most of the stuff you said is done
Then i would say start with marketing and getting people to know the game

however AS this is still me first real php thing and first time making anything getting close to a game
AND that i'm completely alone on the coding part Well it's kinda hard for me to know before hand if something will be easy and fast to do
Like the training thing I had th idea of it being easy to make and turned out that i could very easily cheat my own game :O
(not anymore but took me 3days to make it cheatproof)

Okay I also wanted to have the crew function
Like you are in a crew with 5other people and all highest pirate rank
So are you all the same? No, The crew maker would have the Function: captain
And other could chose (own choice not captain however captain could always say i want you to be this or that or gtfo xD) between
*healer
*navigator
*instructor
*cook
*Whatever
And by choosing your function like healer, then you could actually heal crew mates without going to a port
Or Cook could give some attack boost or something and minor healing
(Ofcourse little boosts Don't make Functions OP but still needed)

Also was looking at all the things (so many :O) and Bank system I don't really think a bank is good

I mean I'm a pirate And prefer burying my treasure on a island Instead of giving my precious stolen gold to some Government listening organization called a Bank

For marines it could be used

But then Marines can store and access their money on each Government controlled port
And pirates on on the same coords as they left the treasure
Not very fair And leaving gold on the ships basically the same as carrying it

So your thoughts on that issue

I thought the same and just called it bank since I couldn't think of a better name while writing it.
Pirates bury it, Marines can store it at every port.

Buy it's not fair to have to go to the same place again to get your treasure/gold back for the pirates

What if you get to a higher sea level and you can't go back because you are too strong?
If you leave it like this then i want pirates to have a positive something somewhere else

So i gonna leave this aside for the moment

how about you simply import the money when you get to a higher map? not to mention that this disatvantage will help to keep the number of pirates/marines balanced since most ppl will want to be pirates beccause pirates are cool.

whoot whoot x3 I asked a friend - Lukas - to ask his dad (who's a lawyer) to ask whether we need to make a company or whatever we might need to sell our premium features and it's actually quite easy.
I just need to get us some number at the financial office to pay taxes but we don't have to pay taxes as long as we don't earn more than 100k€/year

about that problem I had the idea that we sell our premium fetures (unregarding whether it's an item or whatever) for one kind of points (like tnr's rep points) and one point costs 0,50€. we can sell max 1500points/month or I won't be able to earn any other money in any kind of job without paying 20% taxes X-x

And what all can the points be used for? Will there be something like Horizon or is it just going to be used for abilities or..?

and sorry i've been inconsistent in activity D:

i want there to be special items like swords, guns, ships etc, special seas that you can open for one month where you can do cooler quests and get rare items, something like fed, buy BL's etc etc I think you get the idea.
There will be ALOT of things you can get with the items though I need to see how it's working out in the first year. that's why I'm setting a max of 1500points/months that the users can buy so I can see how it's working out. During the first year everything will be really cheap because of the reduced points but I'll warn the users that it's only in the first year so no1 can complain.

That would be nice take 100euros for dedicated server (not needed at first but if you do get 500euro a month regularly then i think we'll have quite a lot of users)

then it's 400for admins ^^ (I'm 1of the 2 admins )

Anyway don't forget the Google Adsense (or anyother ads shizel)

it's forbidden to check your own ads on your site so i didn't put it up yet and i think yummy should make such an account and give me the html code to put it up
AND it will not be visible for admins/mods/and those who have premium status
